JANUS System Manual Interface
This protocol standardizes the creation of Operational Scenarios. For each step, the Site Director (the session supervisor) can either select the preferred option or determine it randomly by rolling the indicated die to ensure unpredictability.
The random parameters are the foundation. Now, the Site Director must use them to build a story. The SCP Wiki is your primary source of inspiration. Here is a recommended process:
𧬠Biological, β’οΈ Radial, π Foundation Site, π΄ Keter, βοΈ Chaos Insurgency.
Combine the first three results (Nature, Channel, Environment) to define the incident. In our example: a biological entity with a dangerous radial effect has breached containment within a Foundation facility. This is the starting situation.
Search the SCP Wiki using tags that match your results (e.g., 'biological', 'keter', 'entity'). You don't have to use an existing SCP, but you can draw inspiration from its properties to define your own anomaly. Also, read Tales or documents related to the chosen GoI to understand their motivations and tactics.
Use the last two results (Object Class, GoI) to raise the stakes. The 'Keter' class suggests the anomaly is aggressive and difficult to re-contain. The 'Chaos Insurgency' introduces a human adversary: are they trying to steal the anomaly during the chaos of the breach? Or did they cause it? This turns a simple breach into a multi-front crisis.
The goal is to use the results as creative constraints, not a rigid formula. Combining known elements from the Wiki with your unique details will create an original scenario that is consistent with the SCP universe.
Once the concept is defined, use the following template to structure and write the complete scenario dossier. This document will be your guide during the scenario simulation.

[Detailed description of the situation when the Crisis Unit is activated. What is happening? Who is involved? What were the triggering events?]
## ποΈ THE HIDDEN TRUTH:
[The plot twist. A critical piece of information that is not immediately apparent and changes the perspective on the crisis.]
## 𧩠OPERATION STRUCTURE:
### π― SECURE:
* **Objective:** [e.g., "Isolate the perimeter and achieve informational dominance."]
* **Crisis Prompts:** [e.g., "A local journalist approaches the perimeter," "The anomaly manifests a new defensive capability."]
* **Potential Escalation:** [e.g., "The radial effect expands, threatening a nearby town."]
### π¦ CONTAIN:
* **Objective:** [e.g., "Neutralize the threat and prepare the anomaly for transport."]

* **Potential Escalation:** [e.g., "A national government demands an explanation."]
## π¨ CRISIS UNIT OPERATIONAL BRIEFING
"[Begin the briefing text here to be read to the Directors, presented from the Site Director's perspective.]
Directors,
At [TIME], we received a priority Alpha alert from our monitoring station in [LOCATION].
Preliminary intel indicates the following:
* [Available Information 1, based on the Initial Scenario]
* [Available Information 2, based on the Initial Scenario]
* [Available Information 3, a vague or worrying detail]
Your Crisis Unit is activated effective immediately. The objective is simple: regain control of the situation. Do not fail me."
