Unit of Narrative Analysis

Function: Deconstruction and analysis of anomalies based on stories or narratives. Specifics: A team of literary critics and pataphysicians analyzing the "rules" of an anomalous narrative to find a way to "conclude it" favorably.

Ontological Resonance Unit (URO)

Function: Tactical manipulation of Hume fields to counter Reality Benders. Specifics: A team of elite operators who do not perform maintenance, but use SRAs as precision instruments. They specialize in 'fine-tuning' the Hume field to create dynamic barriers, targeted stabilizing pulses, or 'pockets' of altered reality to deceive or contain a Green Type Entity during a direct confrontation.

Narrative Analyst

Function: Identification of tropes, clichés, and "plot holes" in an altered reality. Specifics: A narratology expert capable of identifying the rules of the story that an anomaly is imposing, in order to exploit them to our advantage.

Ontological Profiler

Function: Profiling of the ontological capabilities of reality-altering entities. Specifics: A specialized technician who uses Kant's Counters to analyze the specific Humean imprint of a Green-Type Entity. Their role is to provide a real-time analysis of its ontological capabilities, predict its moves, and identify vulnerabilities or fluctuations in its control of reality.

Logical Causal

Function: Analysis and correction of paradoxes and breaks in the causal chain. Specifics: A philosopher and physicist specializing in identifying and, where possible, resolving events that violate causality (e.g., an effect that precedes its cause).

Green Type Entity Register

Function: A dossier on all known Reality Benders. Specifics: A database cataloging every known Green-Type Entity, its power level (four-axis classification), its psychological profile, and effective containment methods.

Library of Narrative Tropes

Function: A database of clichés and narrative structures of every kind. Specifics: A vast library of literary and cinematic tropes, used by analysts to predict the direction of a narrative anomaly and find a genre-appropriate "solution".

Local Hume Field Map

Function: Real-time monitoring of the stability of reality within the Site. Specifics: A 3D map of the Site that shows Hume levels in real-time, immediately highlighting drops or peaks that indicate an alteration of reality.

Pataphysical Archive

Function: Collection of all research on the nature of fiction and reality. Specifics: A highly restricted archive containing the most dangerous and advanced theories on the relationship between our existence and other possible "narrative realities."

Kant's Quantum Counter

Function: Measurement of the level of reality (Hume) of an area or an entity. Specifics: A portable device that provides a numerical reading of reality stability, essential for identifying and classifying Reality Benders.

Personal Consistency Journal

Function: Maintaining the psychological stability of the operator in unstable realities. Specifics: A device (or a physical notebook) on which the operator constantly records basic facts about himself and the mission, to resist rewrites of reality.

Causal Ink

Function: An ink that slightly increases the probability that an event occurs. Specifics: An anomalous ink that, if used to describe a future event, marginally increases its probability of occurrence. Its use is strictly controlled.

Authorization of Narrative Consulting

Function: Obtain information by consulting a contained narrative entity. Specifics: Formal authorization to interact with a contained entity whose anomaly is narrative-based (pataphysical, metanarrative, etc.). It allows one to "interview the story" to obtain clues on how to defeat another narrative anomaly, with the high risk that the consulted entity may in turn attempt to manipulate reality.

Scranton Reality Anchor (Portable)

Function: Temporary stabilization of reality in a limited area. Specifics: A field version of the SRA that can be activated to "shield" a small area against reality alterations for a limited period.

Function: Introduction of logical paradoxes to destabilize a narrative. Specifics: A device that generates random and illogical events (e.g., a phone rings in the Middle Ages) to "confuse" a narrative anomaly and weaken its coherence.

Function: Playing by the rules of a narrative anomaly to defeat it. Specifics: A protocol that authorizes agents to play a role within an anomalous story, using the genre's clichés to reach a favorable conclusion.

Function: Attempting to forcefully insert a single "fact" into a locally unstable reality. Specifics: A risky pataphysical protocol that allows exploiting a narrative anomaly to attempt introducing a new element into the story (e.g., "And the monster suddenly developed a vulnerability to salt water").
